Everything you need to know about the Ostrich Experience
Step up to a specially designed feeding hatch and come face to face with three of the zoo's remarkable female ostriches.
This exclusive experience gives you the chance to meet and feed these incredible birds while learning more about their unique personalities, behaviours and the care they receive from our expert teams every day.
You'll be guided by our knowledgeable keepers, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions about ostriches, their natural history and what makes them the world's largest living birds.
And because we're a conservation charity, every experience you buy helps support our species-saving work here at the zoo and around the world.

Booking the Ostrich Experience includes zoo admission for the participant only.
Bookings for the Ostrich Experience are non-refundable and non-transferable.
This experience has a minimum age requirement of 16 years old.
Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with epilepsy; relevant phobias or known allergies; mobility issues, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.
Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved. Please contact us before purchasing.

The experience will last up to an hour in total, but some of this will be time spent getting across the zoo. There will be approximately 30 minutes spent inside the ostrich habitat.
