Chester Zoo is a force for nature – and so are our supporters who include a gift in their will. Without gifts in wills, we wouldn’t be able to do all we do to ensure nature can survive and thrive. Gifts in wills provide a vital contribution to our conservation work both in our Chester hub and across our work with over 100 partners across 20 counties worldwide.
As one of the world’s leading conservation zoos, our charity has a special role to play in saving species from extinction and ensuring nature survives. Your future gift will help to tackle the biodiversity crisis, restore species populations and prevent extinction. Your support helps to create the conditions needed to prevent the further loss of habitats and wildlife.

“The zoo meant so much to them - it has been comforting to see that continue even after they have gone.”
John and Joyce Neville had been loyal members of the zoo since the 1970s and they were incredibly passionate about the animals in our care. They sadly died within weeks of each other in 2021. Both had included gifts in their wills which have made a lasting impact on conservation.
Their children, Terry, Mike and Tracy, have taken great comfort in seeing their parents’ legacies live on and make such a tangible impact on the place that meant so much to them and the animals they loved most. Everyone at Chester Zoo remains so grateful for John and Joyce’s generosity and the impact their legacy has made.
Your future gift will ensure nature survives and thrives for generations to come
